When I watched “An Inconvenient Truth” I realized it’s a must see for everybody. And I mean EVERYBODY!!! Not just those of us who care about environment more than others. If you care about your children, or children in general, you must see it….
The movie is different than what I expected it to be, but in a good way. Al Gore talks about the problems we are facing with the global warming but what is phenomenal about it, is the fact that he makes it absolutely personal…It is not just the facts and science anymore… It is what climate crisis means for you and me and he constantly reminds us that the problems is yours and mine, not the neighbour’s or a friend’s of a friend who is into ’saving the earth’… It is this personal perception that makes it hit home with so many people.
Moreover, the movie shows scientific facts about the global warming, explains how these facts cause changes in the environment and how these changes affect you and me in our daily lives. Gore also tells us what global warming really means in terms of our lives, our backyards, our present and most importantly our not-so-distant future.
What is particularly interesting about this film, is the fact that it presents where the US stands on the most important issues in today’s international arena comparing to the rest of the world. And it will surprise you. The film also brings down the misconceptions about climate issues and how they relate to economy and politics.
And finally, it shows how little it really takes for each and one of us to make life long effects that will change the world. It maybe a cliché but it is so true!
